ArtCare's Creative Take Over, with Wavy Line Studio
The Salisbury Museum, The Kings House, 65 The Close, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP1 2EN
What do American soldiers, an Egyptian mummy and Florence Nightingale all have in common? They all feature in Salisbury’s healthcare history archive, managed by ArtCare!
Join us for an unique, one-off collaboration between ArtCare and Wavy Line Studio as we explore the hospital’s history collection. Together we will create original motifs which respond to the health history of Salisbury. Your motif will be printed onto your very own, one-of-a-kind t-shirt or tote bag and we invite you to add your design to our collective artwork as well.
Through this event we encourage connections between people from across Salisbury’s community, through art.
ArtCare is excited to collaborate with Wavy Line Studio on this event. Hugo de Brett and Charlotte Gale bring their eccentric, whimsical, innovative art fusion style expressing liberation from societal norms and traditional artistic instruction. “We share a love for outsider art and all things experimental or unconventional." Charlotte Gale, artist “We create wild works that we’ve felt proud enough of to share with the world.” Hugo de Brett, Artist
“I love the freedom and wit that Wavy Line Studio radiate through their original art works. What better way to bring a new perspective to Salisbury’s shared health heritage than through the lens of Wavy Line Studio?!” Louise Jordan-Dench, ArtCare Coordinator
This event is part of New Wave, a series of innovative youth-led events produced for this year's Heritage Open Days festival.
