A tour discovering the archives, art and architecture of County Hall, Hertford.

County Hall has occupied a prominent site in Hertford since it was first opened in 1939. But you might not know that the Grade II listed building is also home to the county's art and manuscript collections. This is your chance to join members of Hertfordshire County Council's Heritage Services team as they show you some of the treasures which are housed there. The tour will begin in the Register Office Block when you will enter the Archive Reading Room and view a range of historic and interesting documents from the collection of Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies (HALS) in the company of the County Archivist. They will then lead you next door to the main County Hall building where you will discover more about its history and see works of art from the art collection in the company of the Art Collection Project Officer.
