Alverstoke's Regency Garden
Crescent Garden, Crescent Road, Alverstoke, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 2BB
This garden has been cared for by a dedicated team of volunteers, the Friends of Crescent Garden, for over 30 years. They will guide you on your tour, explaining not only the history but also the horticultural ethos. All plants there have been introduced into Britain before 1850 or of British natural flora.
It is a sensory delight, full of great things to see, touch and smell. You may even catch sight of Regency-styled ladies taking in the healthy sea air as they enjoy a stroll through the garden.
On Wednesday 11th, there are no tours but you are invited to meet with the volunteer gardeners on their Coffee Break. A great chance to ask specific questions about the planting and get a deeper insight into the skills and effort provided by The Friends.
