Discover Abbey Pumping Station with tours of Beam Engine and Transport Shed.

LMTA Volunteers will conduct the tours to the Beam Engine house detailing the various construction and operation aspects of the Beam Engines, including the historical significance at the time of its manufacture.
The Transport Shed Tour includes viewing the heritage vehicles in the APS Transport shed including but not limited to Aveling & Porter Steam Roller, Bagnall Steam Locomotive “Leonard”, Leicester Corporation busses, Dennis Fire Engines F8 and F7 and many more. Story of every exhibit will be detailed by the LMTA Volunteers.

Maximum capacity for every tour is 10 visitors and hence this will be managed by issuing tickets from the Museums website

Monday 09 September:
Beam Engine Tour: 1100, 1200, 1400 & 1500. Transport Shed Tour: 1100, 1200, 1400 & 1500
Tuesday 10 September:

Directions:
Adjacent to the National Space Centre. There is no parking facility at the Abbey Pumping Station Museum. However, you can park at the National Space Centre Car Park and walk to the Museum which is right next door, clearly visible.
