The connections of the river to Bungay depicted in a new textile project.

The Mary Walker Foundation are creating a new community project. This will be a depiction of the River Waveney and connections to it in the form of textiles and embroidery. Join them and add some stitches to the 5 metre long hanging. Held in the Community Centre where the project will eventually hang. Hands on help will be available so no experience necessary.

Bungay, known as Little London in the late 1800s, was a major trader and textile producer. The river gradually became un-navigable which led to loss of trade for Bungay. There will be displays, talks and 'hands on' exhibits.
