Wainsgate Baptist Chapel (2020)

A chance to see inside the chapel and explore the extensive burial ground. Guide book will be available.
The chapel is associated with the preacher and author Dr. John Fawcett, who is buried in the graveyard.
The interior features an ornate marble and alabaster pulpit, stained glass windows and an impressive organ.
The adjoining Sunday School is used as artists' studios and dance space, and these will be open for viewing.
Wadsworth Environment Group will be running a fundraising tea and cake stall.

Accessibility details
The volunteers are happy to provide the necessary assistance to enable a wheelchair to enter the ground floor. Cars need to be parked in Old Town Mill Lane or Parrock Lane, at the bottom of the lane leading to the chapel. Disabled Visitors may park in the parking bay just opposite the church. There is a bus service from Hebden Bridge to Old Town, that stops at the end of Wainsgate Lane
