'Cavaliers, Confectioners and Cordwainers' The fascinating tale of what happened here in Norwich, in the 17th century, when the small change ran out and people depended on privately struck monetary tokens.

Dr. Adrian Marsden takes us on a journey to the Norwich of the Commonwealth and Restoration periods in the 1650s and 1660s.
A time when a massive shortage of small change meant that Norwich traders issued their own token money.
Over twenty of these men and women lived and died in the parish of St. Peter Mancroft.
Come and hear their long-lost stories and meet Cavaliers, Confectioners and Cordwainers!
A not to be missed event.
