Victorian Church modelled on Mediaeval predecessor. 13th century tower all on Saxon site. Mediaeval carving; Civil War connections; Displays of local current and historical interest. Graves and monuments of 'Peterloo' participants and Sir Edward Watkin, Bt. MP, the builder of the first channel tunnel, railway pioneer and diplomat in UK and Canada. Trips up tower including bell ringing and views of 6 counties (weather permitting). (Tower trips open to accompanied children at guide's discretion ~ sensible footwear advisable for all climbers; numbers for each climbing party restricted for safety reasons ~ ground floor unrestricted.)

Parking on street adjacent to church. Wheeled access via east end of site. Tower access is narrow and steep spiral staircase, but not impossible even with minor disability or age. Sensible footwear advisable.
