Horse Carrs: Opportunity to view the ground floor of what was the family home of Silk Mill Manufacturer, Thomas Watson, built 1865. Enjoy a 12 minute video on the life of Thomas Watson and see a presentation of related Archival Records.

Horse Carrs: Family Home, Refugee Centre for Evacuees, Girls School Annex, Home for the Elderly, Christian School, and currently Baptist Church and Coffee House. Built in 1865 for the Watson family, Horse Carrs continues to explore new ways in which to serve the local community. The opportunity is given to visit the ground floor of the original building, watch the video portraying the Life of Thomas Watson (presented by Local Historian, John Fidler) and explore archival displays with many examples of original documents and photographs all of which provide an insight into how Horse Carrs and its connections to the local community has evolved over the last 150 plus years.
