Holy Trinity Church Wavertree (2020)
Holy Trinity Church, Merseyside,
The Church was designed by architect John Hope in 1794 and consecrated by the Bishop of Chester. It was originally a Chapel of Ease to Childwall. It was extended by the architect Charles Reilly, who was professor of architecture at Liverpool university. The chancel is particularly beautiful with the stucco plasterwork and gold leaf. Originally with balconies and box pews, these were removed in 1911. The organ was renewed in 1972 after a fire. The pulpit was originally in a central position.
