All Saints Church (2020)
All Saints Church, Bedfordshire, LU5 5BJ
The clunch and flint exterior of All Saints has recently been restored with a grant from National Heritage Lottery Fund. The main phases of the building date from 14th,15th and 19th centuries.
Features inside the church demonstrate its long history:
- Norman font from the Aylesbury Group which is the work of Totternhoe craftsmen.
- 14th century tomb of Sir John de Sewell who accompanied the Black Prince to Aquitaine in 1366
- Six tower bells from 1580-1816, one reputed to be the oldest bell in Bedfordshire.
- Stained glass windows in the aisles dating from 1864
