BOOK
The heritage group have also produced a book about Alexandra Park Manchester. This book covers the story of Alexandra Park from its origins in 1870, the early use of the park as a place for leisure and sports. The park became a meeting place for protest and was a base for meeting place for both suffragists and suffragettes, and later the Rock Against Racism concert. From 1971 it has been home to Caribbean Carnival. The book relates the decline of the park and the magnificent regeneration
