In the turbulent years of the Wars of the Rose even counties like Norfolk didn’t entirely escape the troubles. The life of the Paston family in the late fifteenth century was one of conflict, struggles and sieges. Join local re-enactors ‘Linstock and Pledgett’ as they explore the world of the medieval siege, learn about the weapons of the day, and even help build a siege-machine! Suitable for all ages. A Paston Footprints Project event, celebrating the 600th anniversary of the writing of the earliest surviving Paston letter.
