Take part in a special living history walk from Tombland to Norwich Castle that explores the lives of the powerful medieval Norfolk family, the Pastons through site-specific performances, medieval letters, and new work by Dr Holly Maples and the Collisions Theatre Company. Created as part of Paston Footprints 600 to celebrate the Paston Family Letters, (over a thousand written between 1418 and 1509), Medieval Mardles dramatises a remarkable mix of writings offering domestic insights, high drama, cultural values, political manoeuvres and social intrigue. Join us for Stories of births and deaths, love and marriage, gossip and shopping, sieges and politics, devotional habits and plague remedies. Be prepared to take part in the action.
