Huddersfield Local Studies Library launch a new display featuring influential women in the history of Huddersfield, with talks from local experts on the day.

The Borough of Huddersfield was established in 1868 and quickly grew to be recognised, having provided excellent infrastructure for the growing population of this West Yorkshire textile town. As we celebrate 150 years of Huddersfield Borough we are highlighting a number of influential women from the fields of sport, the arts, politics, culture, science and philanthropy. Come along to Huddersfield Library, listen to interesting local historians and see the launch of our new display in the Local Studies Library, part of our celebration of #Vote 100 and Heritage Open Days Extraordinary Women theme.

Talks start at 11.00am at the Huddersfield Library. The display and refreshments are available in the Local Studies Library on the first floor from 12.00 noon.
