Denbies wine estate is a 627 acre estate on the slopes of the North Downs above Dorking. 265 acres of this beautiful landscape is clothed with vines, making Denbies one of the largest producers of English wine in the UK. From 1850 to 1894 the estate was owned by Thomas Cubitt, master builder and developer of Bloomsbury, London. The estate has 7 miles of footpaths, one of which takes visitors up to St Barnabas, the estate church built in 1859 by Sir George Gilbert Scott - also open for Heritage Open Days. For Heritage Open Days Denbies offers complimentary vineyard tours on a first come first served basis (see booking instructions). The 45 minute vineyard tour takes visitors to some of the most beautiful viewing points in the vineyard.
