Weedon Bec Depot Visitors Center
Weedon Depot, Weedon Bec, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN7 4PS
Weedon Depot is a place people often pass without realising what was stored within its walls over the years and the various roles it played during its history. Today there are businesess, antique shops, book shops, coffee shops and more within the buildings.
For 2024 Heritage Open Day, visitors are invited to the site that dates back to the early 1800's and Napoleonic times, where they will find a visitors centre with friendly and knowledgeable volunteers who will help you to learn about the different aspects of the site's history and its various network and connections; for instance what links the Depot to a man's razor, the D-Day landings and Father Brown?
Guided tours will be available (please book at the visitors centre on the day). There will also be refreshments, stalls and activities on site.
The re-enactors from the Redcoats and the Revolutionaries group and the Home Guard will be in attendance. There will also be an Arms display.
In addition - there will be a Heritage bus service between Northampton and the Depot on the day (times to be confirmed)
