  • 13 Sep 2024
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

A visit to Thorney. A good look at Thorney Abbey, then a walk through the historic village to the community museum.

The village of Thorney has buildings and stories reflecting its medieval Benedictine abbey, the drainage of the Fens, rebuilding as a Victorian model village and the modern parish. The Thorney Society has run a community Museum for the last 37 years, collecting and displaying our history. The talk and walk will be about 90 minutes, led by a qualified Tourist Guide.
