The Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Fathers of Nicea stands on a unique site used for worship for at least 4,000 years. Visitors can look around this ancient Church and there will be a talk about its history, an archaeological dig at the site and its present role and Church community. There will be religious books, postcards, icons and music icons for sale.

The Church is extremely old with parts dating back to about 1200. The Very Rev'd Protopresbyter Father Stephen Maxfield, parish priest, and some members of the congregation will be present to answer any questions you may have.

Dove Close, off Otteley Road, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY2 6QY

Directions:
The Church is situated off Otteley Road. There is a sign post along Otteley Road saying Orthodox Church which directs you into a lane . At the bottom of the lane on the right you can enter the small Church car park . You can also park your car in the lane. At the bottom of the lane on the left is a small metal gate and footpath, follow this and then turn right and this will lead you along Dove Close to the Church. There is strictly no parking in Dove Close.

A wooden ramp is available for wheelchair access to the Church.

Additional information

Please use the Church car park or the lane for parking. Do not park in the Church grounds or in Dove Close. You can drop people off at the Church.
