Join Gilbert O'Brien, Honorary Archivist of the Georgian Group in this fascinating talk about the history of Georgian architecture, buildings in London and their destruction in the early 20th century

The considerable damage done to the Georgian fabric of London between 1900 and 1930 led directly to the foundation of the Georgian Group in 1937. The talk will highlight Georgian architecture but also some of the extraordinary events and characters involved in the complex negotiations to establish the Group, which has subsequently become one of the foremost of the seven National Amenity Societies in the UK, tasked with looking after our built heritage.
