The Free Church

The Free Church, Market Hill, St Ives, Cambridgeshire, PE27 5AL

  • 14 Sep 2024
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

This St Ives grand 'non-conformist cathedral' was built in the 1860s.

In 1980 the St Ives Free Church was totally reconstructed internally and refurbished to provide both a church and community facilities. The reconstruction created a Worship area on the upper level and the Hall and coffee shop on the ground floor. Both levels are used by community groups. Photographs of the reconstruction are on display in the lobby and upstairs in the Centrum.
There will also be a Knitted Bible Stories exhibition on display in the Centrum.
Volunteers will be on hand to greet visitors and show them around the church. Leaflets and wall displays will provide a brief history of the church.
