Open days onboard the historic 101 year old Heritage Thames Sailing Barge, Lady Daphne, in her original cargo port of Charlestown Harbour.

Join us onboard Lady Daphne in Charlestown Harbour and learn about her very special history in association with the local area. Come aboard, wander around the deck and explore the pop-up exhibition in the cargo hold below. Entry will be free, but donations are very welcome towards Lady Daphne's continual upkeep and maintenance. Our bar will be open all day. Please be aware that access involves climbing stairs and steps and that many trip hazards are onboard. The crew will be on hand to help all day. Additional free children's activities will be available on the Open Days.

Accessibility details

Disabled car parking and accessible toilets within Charlestown Harbour but not onboard Lady Daphne itself. Dogs welcome onboard. Access to the boat is via a wooden gangplank. Please be aware access when onboard involves some climbing of stairs and steps. There are also many trip hazards to be found whilst onboard and head restrictions in some places.

Additional information

Vessel open during the stated hours, no bookings needed. Crew will be available onboard during the events to answer questions and give assistance as needed.
