A very large Georgian Church with later additions; a tiered gallery, a bell-tower and a large Venetian Window

A plain outside with disabled access of Churchwood Close. A beautiful interior built to seat 1000 people and now re-ordered to give an area for social events and a large concert platform. Originally had the largest single span roof in Northern Europe. The East Window depicts the story of the Good Samaritan. Refreshments available. A film show depicting the Graveyard restoration will be presented on Saturday and a free concert will be held on Sunday at 15.30 by the renowned soprano Elizabeth Charlesworth and pianist Jonathan Bickley. The programme will include songs by Haydn Wood, a popular local composer. Other exhibitions will be on display.

Our church is open in conjunction with Yorkshire Historical Churches Trust and churches all over Yorkshire will be open on 14th September. There will be a talk by Richard from the graveyard restoration team on Saturday 14th at 1.30 followed by a tour of the graveyards. There will be a free concert on Sunday at 3.30 given by a renowned soprano-Elizabeth Charlesworth. There will be a display about Huddersfield Narrow Canal.
