A celebration of local history and village life. Learn about both well-known and lesser-known individuals and families from days gone by, and the heritage of village organisations, places and buildings, and their connections with Brisley in 2024.

The St. Bart.’s, Brisley Heritage Festival will bring to life the village's rich history and provide opportunities to learn more about the people and history of Brisley and wider Norfolk. The event will bring together many stories that have accumulated over the last millennia, some of national significance.

The festival offers events and experiences for all ages - keep an eye on our social media pages for the latest information!

On Saturday 7th September there will be an evening talk, “The Duty-Bound Member” about Sir George Edwards KBE MP (b.1850-d.1933), presented by local social historian Dale Wiseman BA.

The festival is organised by St. Bartholomew's Church, Brisley with the support of contributors from local groups and organisations.

1000-1630 exhibition open, and 1900-2100 for “The Duty-Bound Member.” An evening talk on Sir George Edwards, KBE, MP by Dale Wiseman BA.
