A selection of Shakespeare scenes, sonnets and speeches performed in the grounds of the church of St Martin at Palace Plain.

Returning for it's ninth year, Summer Shakespeare has a new mix of scenes and speeches from Shakespeare's greatest hits to his more obscure. Performed by a multi-generational cast of local actors, this event is a great day for old and young alike. The perfect way to indulge your love of the Bard or introduce new faces to his work amongst the beautiful surroundings of a medieval church. Featuring special appearances from Norwich HEMA group, who will have displays of weaponry and armour after the event. Performing as part of Heritage Open Days, this a free event. The performance begins at 11:30am. Donations are welcome to support the work of Norwich Historic Churches Trust
