Explore the routes to our past through the stunning Maldon Embroidery by creating your own map of Maldon

Join us for a fun filled family activity.
Use the embroidery to uncover Maldon’s historic sites.

Using our walking guides, map templates and stickers, explore the town - find the sites and add them to your map as you go.
You can return to the Centre to colour/embellish your map or decorate it at home.

Why not add your own favourite places around Maldon e.g. where you ate a nice lunch or enjoyed an ice cream, where you saw a cool insect, bird or anything that made you smile. Personalise your map to create a wonderful keepsake of your day. Making a map has never been so much fun.

Take part in our photography competition too. Use your creativity to take an arty photo of the Maeldune Centre.
Find an interesting angle or play of light to capture a unique snapshot of the Centre.
You can upload to Instagram with the title "MHC Photo Competition 2024" then #themaeldune.
