A fabulous Grade 1 Building in a historic Conservation area landscape. Plus talks about local people remembered in our churchyard and The Civil War in West Yorkshire and an exhibition of photographs by Paul Harrison

Visit our Grade 1 listed building and see the pattern of changes from the 12th to the 20th Century. Famous monuments and Glass from the 16th Century to the 20th. All historic items have been restored by skilled artists and conservators. See the two windows restored during the pandemic. Close association with the Savile and Thornhill Families. Open 10-1600 on Saturday 7th and 14th and both Wednesdays from 1030-1400. Free

+++++++Exhibition of Photographs by Paul Harrison=Paul Harrison BPE2* AFIAP – local amateur photographer who is a member of Thornhill Parish Church and bell ringing team is presenting a small selection of photographs from his portfolio as an exhibition within the Church. Paul is an active member of Dewsbury Photographic Group and has been a President of the club. His photographic interests are towards Scapes and Railways but as can be seen by his collection will try and turn his hand to other genres too.
