In the Surrey Hills, just 25 miles from London, Polesden Lacey is ideal for spending time with family and friends. The genius of the garden is its setting with glorious views of Ranmore Common and rolling parkland. A landscape virtually unchanged since medieval times. On the 7th and 8th September Polesden Lacey is opening its doors for free, with music playing in the afternoon, and lots of activities for all ages!
Highlights will include:
- Live music both days on the South Lawn! Grab your deckchair and picnic and laze the afternoon away with tunes drifting off into the valley. 2-4pm
- Have a ride on the Woolsey Miniature Railway! Running both days, 10.30-4.00, train rides are £2 per person with all the profit going back to Polesden Lacey
- Say hello to Grizwald the Griffin - the life sized Griffin puppet will wander around the site both days, 10.30-4.00
