Discover the Behind the Walls: Sabine Winn exhibition in the house, where you can learn about her struggles with mental and physical health, her interest in apothecary, and her fraught relationships with her family. Life wasn't always perfect for the lady of the house, and the exhibition tells the ups and downs of her life. New for 2024 is the reopening of Sabine's dressing room, where visitors can immerse themselves in the incredibly personal story of Sabine Winn, as told by a local mental health peer support group, Mindful Movers.

In the gardens, take in the beautiful kitchen garden, nearly ready for harvest, or pop into the Orangery for a last chance to see the Herbal Histories exhibition. Discover stories from Wakefield collected from residents of what growing up in the area was like, and what recipes and remedies their parents used when they were unwell. The exhibition features work from local artists Shazia Ashraf and Tom Jenkins.
