Immerse yourself in the rich heritage of the Dales; all brought to life through over 30,000 exhibits, 13 exhibition spaces and 15 full size re-creations

The award-winning Nidderdale Museum brings the rich heritage of the dale to life with a huge treasure trove of exhibits, photos and video.
Housed in an imposing Victorian Workhouse, history is brought to life in ways that take you back through time; sit in an old school room or pub snug, walk down the mine tunnel, see the table laid for tea in a Victorian parlour, visit a complete Cobbler's shop, look in at the Dairy and Blacksmith's, or follow the Children's trail.
Please note that our photographer will be taking informal photos during the day, for us to use in our publicity materials. He will always ask for permission from anyone who might be in the picture.
