Especially open for Berwick Heritage Open Days in Berwick. Go through a normally hidden door and see inside the lower portion of a 14th-century tower embedded in a 17th-century wall. Not to be missed!

An opportunity to see an unknown part of Berwick's medieval and 17th-century fortifications.

Directions:
This site is a hidden gem. Either walk down the steps by No 1 Wellington Terrace on the walls or up the alley by the side of the Main Guard. Look out for the signs.

Access is via a narrow passageway - lit but uneven surface

Additional information

Near the Main Guard . There are other buildings open nearby including the Main Guard, Coxon's Tower, Palace Green Pavilion and the Cellars in Silver Street. If walking along the Walls, look for the bunting on the edge of Wellington Terrace. Why not visit the Main Guard exhibition if there is a queue as only limited numbers can enter at any one time.
