Leigh Spinners Mill Heritage Centre

Leigh Spinners Mill, Park Lane, Leigh, Greater Manchester, WN7 2JR

  • Multiple dates available
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

The Heritage Centre will be open for longer on Saturday 14 September and also open on Sunday 15 September.

We will be open additional hours with guided tours of the Heritage Centre arranged for 11 am and 1 pm on both dates. Casual visitors will still be welcomed, as usual. You can marvel at our magnificent engine still in place in it's Engine House. It is a partially restored steam engine built by Yates and Thom in 1925. We also have some machinery from the early 1800s up to 1940s. In our parlour we have items typically found in a mill workers cottage around the time our mill was built. Additional items on display relate to our local history. There will be film footage of mill life to watch, puzzles to solve, and colouring sheets for children.
