Join us for free at Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills over the first weekend of Heritage Open Days!

On Friday 6 September enjoy our temporary exhibitions: 'Engineery' featuring the wonders of engineering; and beautiful textile artworks displayed throughout the museum in 'Entangled' by the International Feltmakers Association. We will also be running our historic Spinning Mule machine at regular intervals during the Friday.

Enjoy our usual offer including one of the smallest cinemas in Leeds screening family films at 2pm on the Saturday and Sunday

Leeds Industrial Museum is located approx. 1 mile from Leeds City Centre. A car park is available just off Canal Road. It is a short walk from the car park to the museum entrance.

Accessibility details

Leeds Industrial Museum is located inside a Georgian woollen mill. Unfortunately as of August/Sept 2024 our Lift is out of order. There is currently no level access to all museum floors, and we apologise for the access issues this causes some of our visitors. The locomotive shed remains closed due to building works - expected to open 2025.

Additional information

We apologise that our lift is currently out of order and awaiting repairs, restricting access for some visitors. Staffing limitations have reduced our HODs offer this year - however we look forward to welcoming visitors for free on Friday 6, Saturday 7, and Sunday 8 September.
