Huguenot Museum

The Huguenot Museum is delighted to announce that thanks to our NLHF funded project The Huguenot Museum – A New Future we are proudly displaying the Lethieullier Dolls House, on loan from the National Trust until May 2025.
This magnificent dolls house is an 18th century ‘Baby House’, given to Sarah Lethieullier (1722-1788), the teenage daughter of a Huguenot merchant. With a fascinating history, over 700 individual items including twelve dolls, this beautifully preserved house is shown for the first time in over 250 years away from the family home.
The museum also displays the French Hospital collection alongside their own, telling stories of French Protestants in exile through portraits, prints, sacred texts, silver, silks and clocks. Our museum celebrates their legacy and champions the contribution contemporary refugees bring to our culture.
Unique to Heritage Open Day you will also be able to visit the French Hospital, just a few doors down (not usually open to the public) - a great opportunity to learn about the history of the hospital and gain exclusive access.
Situated in historic Rochester, the museum is ideally placed, just 40 minutes from central London or via the coast.
