Historic Photographic Exhibition

19-39 Meridian Centre, Havant, Hampshire, PO9 1UW

  • Multiple dates available
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

Havant is on a crossroads, and has always been so. This exhibition looks at some of the ways that those historic four streets have looked in the past

The four key roads that form central Havant feature in this exhibition

East Street and West Street were originally a Roman road running from Chichester (Noviomagus Reginorum) to Bitterne (Clausentum)

Later this road became a Turnpike (a toll road maintained by the parish)

North Street and South Street lie broadly on the track of the old routes that led from the Forest of Bere to the natural harbour at Langstone
