Visit the iconic Doncaster Minster at the heart of England's newest city. Doncaster won city status as part of the celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and it was signed off by Her Majesty on the day before her death.

Doncaster became a city on 1st November 2022 and Their Majesties The King and The Queen Consort visited Doncaster on Wednesday 9th November to officially confer the status and bestow a letters patent which is an official scroll. It is a city which is at the heart of transport networks, with its high profile railway connections, not to mention links by road, water and air.
Communications places the Minster close to these different connections and centres on the reason for where the building is sited.
