Galton Valley Pumping Station once regulated the water levels between the Old Mainline and New Mainline canals in Smethwick. It is now a small museums telling the story of life and work on the canals, canals in Smethwick and its own role as a Pumping station.

Take a walk along the canal and discover this fantastic little building along the towpath. There is a guided walk to the Old Engine House, which once houses the Boulton and Watt steam engine at 12 noon. No need to pre-book for tour, book on site. Free flow entry to engine house.
