Medieval almshouses with stunning gardens, a working chapel and the original Guild Hall of the city. Delicious home-baked refreshments and light lunches served all day and live music between 1400 and 1500. Free Trishaw rides into Wells available

Historical 15th-century Almshouses (Grade II*) with chapel and gardens and the former City of Wells Guildroom. Awarded a level 5 'Outstanding' by the Royal Horticultural Society 'Mendip in Bloom'. Includes Llewellyn and Charles Almshouses in Priest Row, Wells. Still in use as Almshouses.

Stewards will be on-site to assist visitors and self-guide leaflets will be available.

Refreshments will be available on the day

Accessibility details

There are 4 steps into the Llewellyns site. Some uneven paths. Pushchairs can be used. Toilets available on the Bubwith site, one is wheelchair accessible

Additional information

The Bubwith Almshouses have a beautiful 'Secret Garden' and a courtyard garden. Residents and stewards will be on-site to guide and inform visitors. Walking guides are available for all points of historical interest. There will be music played in the chapel
