Christ Church New Mill Open Day
Christ Church, Sude Hill, New Mill, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, HD9 7ER
First consecrated in 1831, then during the ministry of a particularly successful vicar in the 1880s, the chancel was built and the church was beautified with ornate furniture and stained glass windows. The church has had a long musical tradition and there will be displays of historical material. The local history society has recently catalogued the two graveyards at Christ Church, and they will also have ancestry information to hand, and will run tours of the graveyards. Light refreshments will be available whilst the church is open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday September 14th 2024
