Everyone is welcome to come. The church is open to visitors with historical documents and photos display. There will be a guided tour of the churchyard and local area with reference to notable local people buried here and their Burbage connection.

Christ Church Burbage built in 1861 with land and money provided by the Duke of Devonshire. It has an elaborately decorated chancel( the Robert Mellor memorial) and many stained glass windows dedicated to local people. the file compiled by NADFAS gives detailed descriptions of all the artifacts and stained glass windows
Selection of parish magazines, documents and photos from the early 1900's.are available to view.
There are over two thousand graves in the churchyard.It is about three and a half acres with an orchard and areas left unmown for wildlife and flowers. It has approxamately one hundred mature trees.
There is a churchyard trail leaflet detailing some of the interesting memorials and the people they relate to.
A guided walk of the churchyard and interesting memorials will also take in the wider Burbage area with reference to people named on the memorials

as the graveyard is very uneven and overgrown in places it is advisable to stay on the paths
