Chesham Town Council - 50 years
Town Hall, Chesham, Buckinghamshire, HP5 1DS
Chesham Town Hall was opened in 1998, constructed from two types of local brick - one of the area's many historic industries. Visit the Council Chamber where you can see the Town Tapestry (now in its 51st year) depicting historic scenes of Chesham (some of which still exist), a replica of the Domesday entry for Chesham, the historic Mayoral and Clerks' boards and other artefacts of the council's history. On the same floor, Chesham Museum will be open with a special exhibition celebrating 400 years of Weedon Alms Houses.
