Visit this Romanesque style Grade II listed building, erected in 1859, with its baptismal pool and First World War Memorial pulpit. Explore the church's multi-ethnic heritage and continuing life as a congregation from many parts of the world

Cemetery Road Baptist Church was founded in 1839, moving into the present premises 20 years later. It is one of Sheffield's oldest Nonconformist church buildings and presents an imposing appearance with its twin towers and new stained glass windows. A visit will be an opportunity to discover its long-standing links with other parts of the world (especially the Caribbean) and to meet members of the present multi-ethnic congregation and to hear how they came to be part of the church. It will also be possible to learn more about the Baptist community and its contribution to church and society over the last four centuries.
