Come and visit the museum and help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the society that started the museum and 40 years as a registered charity

2024 is an important year for the museum with two significant anniversaries. The North East Land Sea and Air Museum was started by a like minded group of enthusiasts in May 1974. They group started to collect exhibits to establish an aircraft museum. The museum became a registered charity in June 1984.

Heritage Open Days are an ideal opportunity to visit and see how the collection has grown over the last 50 years from a few aeroplanes in a field to the regional transport collection it is today. Housed on a 4 acre site near the Nissan Car factory the museum traces the regional aviation history from 1908 through to eventual car production with Nissan.

There are new aviation exhibits for 2024 along with a display showing the history of the museum.
