Beckett St. Cemetery opened in 1845 & is the second oldest Municipal cemetery in England with over 188,000 burials. As well as the fascinating stories of these people you will get a chance to find relatives should you be tracing your family tree. Accessibility details

Access is slightly hampered by cobbled pathways & we do venture off the main paths from time to time. Please wear suitable footwear. There are no toilets on site but there are across the road at the Medical Museum...as is a cafe. Parking is limited in the cemetery but some is available in the Medical Museum for a small fee

There may be time at the end to help people find the graves of relatives but you would need to bring along the grave numbers. Should you not have this information you could contact Alun by email [email protected] giving names, date of death etc. If time is short arrangements can be made to meet at a future convenient time.
