During Heritage Open Days 2024, visitors to Anna Sewell House in Great Yarmouth will be able to explore the building in which Anna Sewell was born and learn about its history. Discover more about the famous book Black Beauty, one of the most-read books of all time, with over 50 million copies sold worldwide; enjoy looking through some vintage copies of the book and view some original hand-painted illustration slides produced for the first edition.
Visitors will also be able to learn about Anna and the book's influence on horse welfare, how Redwings Horse Sanctuary are continuing that today and purchase their own copy of a very special fundraising edition of the book if they wish to that was published in 2023 in partnership with the UEA.

The house is very small and narrow with some steep stairs to navigate inside.
