Have you ever wondered what it is really like to live in an ancient castle? Sir Thomas Ingilby gives us an amusing insight into some of the challenges and hilarious moments that he has faced during his 50 year tenure at Ripley Castle.

Sir Thomas' talk will be hosted by All Saints' Church in Ripley village, Yorkshire. Situated just opposite the castle All Saints' will welcome you to their 600 year old church with it own historical stories from the sinking chapel via musket ball indentations from Cromwell in the east wall to a 21st century Church Trail for children.

Please note that all parking in the village (on street, Castle Car Park and Village Car Park ) is pay and display. This includes accessible/blue badge. The nearest disabled parking bays are in the Castle Courtyard approx 80 yards. There is one accessible toilet within the church. Additional free public toilets including accessible facilities are available in the Village Car Park located at the south end of the village approx 200 yards.

Additional information

Prior to Sir Thomas's talk All Saints' Church in RIpley will be hosting a drop in café on Saturday 14th September from 1000 - 1400. The talk will last approximately 1 hour 15 mins.
