Aldridge Transport Museum

Aston Manor Road Transport Museum, Shenstone Drive, Aldridge, West Midlands, WS9 8TP

  • Multiple dates available
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

Primarily a commercial road transport museum with emphasis on buses but many other vehicular exhibits and artefacts to see as well.

The museum is presently housed in a former manufacturing unit which has meant that the exhibits no longer feature just buses, but also smaller commercial vehicles as well as 2-wheeled bicycles and motorbikes. For the most part, these exhibits were either built or operated in the West Midlands and many of the buses are available to ride on, on major event days, though for this event the museum will be primarily static so that visitors can enjoy the exhibits up closely. There are some buses that you can actually go on and if resources are available from the volunteers, then one of them will be running short trips around the Aldridge area during each of the days we will be open.
There are many other displays relevant to the museum's theme, either in display cabinets or on walls.
Please note that there will be no bus rides on the Saturday and no hot drinks either, but canned drinks and light snacks will be available.
Sunday should see some short bus rides and we expect hot drinks to be available as well.
